Hilary Baker served as the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at California State University, Northridge, California. Prior to joining CSUN, she held positions at Pepperdine University, the California State University Office of the Chancellor, the J. Paul Getty Trust, and Urban Decision Systems, a geographic information systems corporation. Hilary has 30+ years of information technology leadership and management experience, over 15 years as the CIO of two higher education institutions. She led the implementation of a state-wide 23-campus ERP implementation, which at the time was the largest undertaken in higher education. Hilary holds a B.Sci. in Mathematics and Geography and a MA in Architecture/Urban Planning, majoring in computer-based information systems. She completed the Institute for Educational Management at the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University and is an alumna of the 2004 Leadership California program for California women executives. Hilary served as a member of the EDUCAUSE Board, vice chair on the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Innovation and Technology Council, the Oracle Education and Research Industry Strategy Council, and the Salesforce CIO Advisory Council. She held numerous other EDUCAUSE committee appointments including chair of the EDUCAUSE 2004 Program Committee, chair of the Seminars on Academic Computing Board of Directors, and faculty for the Leadership Institute, a program for recent and aspiring CIOs.
