Kellie Bousfield is a sessional academic and former Associate Head of School and Lecturer in the sociology and philosophy of education in Charles Sturt University's (CSU) School of Education. Kellie is located on CSU's Wagga Wagga campus. Kellie’s research has focused on education policy and the experience of parents and students in contexts of standardised testing. As a critical researcher, Kellie’s research maintained a strong focus on equity, access, and opportunity in education. Kellie is an active member of the Australian Sociological Association and has served as co-convenor for the Australian Sociological Association's sociology of education thematic group. Kellie has also served as Book Review Editor for the international multi-disciplinary journal Rural Society. Kellie has social and political commentary experience and has written for The Conversation, professional journals, and appeared on international, national, and local radio programmes. She provides regular peer reviews of academic texts and research literature for several international journals. Kellie is a member of The Australian Sociological Association, The Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth, and Social Education Victoria.
