Chief Operating Officer and Co-Owner of Cruise Planners- An American Express Travel Representative who oversees Marketing, Franchise Recruitment, Training, Supplier Relations, Business Development, Tours and the Human Resources Departments. Works closely with Sr management to develop and leverage strategic partnerships with cruise lines, tour operators and ancillary suppliers to create sales & marketing programs making Cruise Planners the number one choice among home-based travel agents. Responsible for overseeing the development of turn-key programs to competitively position and support agents in their local areas, including the creation of customized marketing campaigns, including advertising, flyers, email banners, social media and Cruise Planners bi-annual consumer magazine. Additionally, she is responsible for developing and maintaining preferred vendor partnerships, including the negotiation of contracts as well as creating unique vendor offerings and promotional opportunities, all designed to help agents build their customer base, and in turn, bottom line revenues. Prior to being named EVP, served as SVP after being promoted from Director of Group Operations and Support since joining the company in 2004, where she oversaw the booking and management of more than 1800 groups with an inventory of 25,000 cabins annually to strategically position CP above the competition in each local marketplace by negotiating the best pricing, amenities and overall availability in the industry. Before joining Cruise Planners, Garcia spent over two years as the Manager of Reservations for Norwegian Cruise Line and served as the Manager of Sales/Service for Royal Caribbean. In addition, she has been an entrepreneur/self employed.
