Cast & Crew began modestly as a small business that provided payroll services to the commercial and the music business. Today, with offices in Burbank, New York, Miami, Toronto, and Vancouver, Cast & Crew has grown into a respected provider of payroll service for the Motion Picture, Television and Commercial Industries. Cast & Crew provides these same industries with its highly regarded PSL family of production accounting software.

I am a freelance writer who brings unmatched communications experience and expertise to C-level and strategic articles and blogs. I am pleased to be a go-to resource for Chief Executive, Financial, Marketing and Human Resources Officers at leading corporations, financial institutions and consultancies. My professional experience is extensive: Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek writer and editor; Wall Street executive; best-selling author; communications/crisis consultant and university instructor (University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism). In June 2019, I retired from full-time employment after serving for five years as Vice President, Marketing and Communications at Cast & Crew Entertainment Services in Burbank. That formally concluded a multiple-decades career where I was fortunate to work at the highest levels of communications: media, corporate communications and external consulting. My journalism career spanned 16 years, with editorial positions at The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, The Dallas Morning News, the Associated Press and The Financial Times of Canada. I also am the author of “Futures: The Anti-Inflation Investment,” published by Avon Books. From January 2007 and May 2013, I was a managing director in the FTI Consulting Strategic Communications practice and was based in Chicago. Earlier, I was a Senior Vice President and Director at APCO Worldwide, based in New York, and served as the Hong Kong-based President of Asia-Pacific Financial Communications for Edelman (after previously serving for a year as an Executive Vice President, based in Los Angeles, in the firm’s U.S. Financial Practice). Previously, I was a member of the firm at Sitrick And Company (splitting my time between Los Angeles and Moscow), was President of Gavin Anderson & Company, New York, and Senior Managing Director of the corporate and financial practice group at Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart, New York. In-house experience includes positions as Vice President, Media Relations for Merrill Lynch Capital Markets and as Director of Corporate Communications for Midlantic National Bank of New Jersey. My experience includes crisis and financial communications; brand diversity and inclusion; Human Resources/culture; litigation support; Board-level communications; management changes; accounting irregularities, and environmental and public affairs issues.
