After completing a BA at the University of Iowa and a Cambridge CELTA, I started my career as a language instructor. I spent 2 years with English First at 2 locations in East Asia and then moved to Chicago to become a Language and Culture Trainer for Business Relocation. I contracted directly with relocation companies and language schools as well as managing private clients. For over 6 years I focused on building my own business, Meridian Language. This endeavor allowed me to constantly focus on professional development, business & client management, and pedagogical development. In June of 2014 I was given the opportunity to join Workiva as a bilingual French/English Customer Success Manager.
