Dr. Ishida is a Client Service Manager, Project Manager, and Office Manager at Carollo Engineers in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is a licensed professional engineer in California, Hawaii, Illinois, and CNMI. She is also an Envision Sustainability Professional. Dr. Ishida works on various water and wastewater projects. She has worked on several projects related to municipal water and wastewater master planning and design, advanced treatment, feasibility studies, and industrial wastewater treatment. Her project experience includes water and wastewater planning, design, construction management, water conservation, permitting and regulatory support, and integrated systems and hydraulic modeling. Dr. Ishida has worked on projects in the Chicago metropolitan area, Northern and Southern California, Arizona, and Hawaii. She is currently managing a wide range of water and wastewater projects in Carollo’s Honolulu office. Dr. Ishida studied strategies to enhance nutrient removal in constructed treatment wetlands as a part of her dissertation research at Northwestern University. She is knowledgeable of water chemistry, microbiology, and has a passion for sustainability, water education programs for children, and supporting diversity in STEM.
