I have experience in a wide range of public works projects. I have a broad-based understanding of construction documents, the bidding process, project specifications, schedules, submittals, and change orders. My early construction experience was in the field of concrete construction, so I have an extensive background in reading plans and technical drawings. At this point, I feel that my greatest asset is my ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with contractors in order to make sure that jobs are completed on time and without additional costs. On projects I manage the safe and on-schedule delivery of public works facilities through written and verbal coordination with public agencies, contractors, and architects. Prepare reviews of all pre-bid plans and documents. Identify and develop bid packages. Create and update project schedules using Primavera software. Review, process and track submittals. Conduct owner/architect/construction management team meetings, site foreman meetings, and safety meetings. Prepare and transmit project RFIs, track and log all project PCOs and COs. Keep daily job journals using document tracking software.
