Everyone has a story—a perspective, a voice. Christian shares people's stories to promote big and bold programs, as well as simple services, that transform communities and change the world. She advises leaders on strategic communications and community engagement—from promoting binational opportunities to ensure access and excellence at the University of Texas at El Paso to spearheading international public affairs and expanding the "What Starts Here Changes the World" brand at the University of Texas at Austin. At UTEP, she advised and supported Dr. Diana Natalicio, one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world. Christian's career began at the center of health, education and community relations, promoting school-based clinics in the colonias, under-served neighborhoods on the U.S.-Mexico border. Since then, she has promoted innovative programs in healthcare, business, engineering and the arts. She has led media relations for corporate press conferences, Texas political debates and stadium concerts. She has traveled to New York and Washington to promote stories to the world's top news outlets. During law school, she worked at Public Strategies, analyzing the changing political and economic landscape in Mexico—including the securities, communications and energy markets. Christian believes in integrated, mission-minded marketing that promotes social justice and ensures transparency and accountability. She is a champion for meaningful change—for community and diversity initiatives that strengthen relationships locally and globally. She leads the film cluster for LBJ Future Forum and is an alumna of Leadership Austin. She has served on boards for American Gateways and Multicultural Refugee Coalition. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism with minors in business and history from the University of Texas at El Paso and a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She has studied in Freiburg, Germany, and Guanajuato, Mexico.
