Direct responsibility for the development and maintenance of positive relations with the company’s handbook and unionized employee populations. Provides leadership and oversight in the development, implementation and maintenance of company policies and actions affecting the employment relationship. Partners with legal counsel, responsible for the legal sufficiency and consistency in employment policies and actions and monitors developments in case and statutory law affecting employment matters. Is directly responsible for the formulation of union avoidance strategies and for successful contract negotiations with the company’s existing unions. Has primary authority and company wide responsibility for providing advice, guidance and decision making for employment, recruitment, organizational culture, physician relations, diversity/inclusion and monitors affirmative action compliance and review (Including EEO-1, Vets 100 and ADA compliance). Handles extremely sensitive and confidential employee and business information on a routine basis. Supervises Senior HR Consultant for Central Employment Reports to the VP of Human Resources.
