I am incredibly passionate about nanotechnology, advanced materials, and artificial intelligence, and believe that they will help to build the next tools to push civilization further. Specifically, I love exploring early stage start-ups that are tackling hard problems that can have a true impact on humanity and our world. Connecting with, building, and investing in hard technology companies is what I aim to do for my entire career. I am a firm believer in scientific entrepreneurship. The people who are the absolute best SMEs to build the future technologies that will advance humanity are the researchers that have spent their entire life working on their problem. I founded Scientist+ with AlleyCorp to build a community focused exactly around this. As we say, we are the community where innovation meets commercialization. I have worked on neuromorphic computing, carbon nanotubes, plasmonics (silver nanoparticles), and advanced gold nano-rod sensors, and have been studying nanotechnology for the past 8 years. I believe we have reached an inflection point where new technological advances will provide the next foundation to build (aka how smartphones enabled instant communication, advanced mapping+GPS, and entire application industries to build).
