Lizzie Chapman is the CEO & Co-Founder of ZestMoney - India’s largest and fastest growing Digital EMI/ Checkout Finance platform. ZestMoney is deeply integrated with the largest brands in India including Amazon, Flipkart, MakeMyTrip, Myntra, Nykaa and Apple among others thereby increasing the affordability of their products and helping them facilitate frictionless sales at a higher conversion rate to a larger base of customers. Lizzie started her career as an equity research analyst with Goldman Sachs in London. Her focus was on Global Financials and she was drawn to India where some of the best banks and lending companies have been built. After a 5 year stint at Goldman Sachs, she then moved to the buy-side as an investor at Wellcome Trust and was fortunate enough to make some large direct investments into the Indian financial services market. In 2011, she moved from London to Mumbai to set up and spearhead the India operations for digital lender Wonga, one of the biggest fintech companies in the world at that point. In 2014, she joined the Development Bank of Singapore and led the launch of ‘Digibank’, which was India’s first mobile-app-only bank at that time. Lizzie previously served on the board of IndiaMart and is currently on the Board of IndiaQuotient (early-stage investment fund) and Cloudnine Hospitals. She is a founding member and formerly served as the President of the Digital Lenders Association of India. Lizzie is a leading figure in the fintech landscape of India. She was nominated by the Govt of India to the National Startup Council and advises the government on measures to nature and boost innovation in the country. She is also a member of the Innovation Council at the National Payments Corporation of India. She was awarded the prestigious Economic Times Startup Award 2021. Lizzie is also a passionate fitness enthusiast and runner. Her favourite memories include being a pacer for the Mumbai Marathon.
