Kacie works on the engineering communications team at Facebook, working directly with engineers to formalize narratives and execute communications strategies to help drive leadership and momentum in open source, the Open Compute Project (OCP), mobile, and dev infra. She also manages two local PR agencies to lead Facebook's regional office narratives in New York, Seattle, and Boston. Kacie comes to Facebook from The OutCast Agency, during which she led media strategy and account operations for Facebook’s advertising/monetization and platform teams, in addition to security-focused Tanium. Prior to that, she was at FleishmanHillard in San Francisco where she was an account supervisor within the Corporate Practice. Within this role, she managed top-tier media relationships, while executing communications strategies around thought leadership, product launches and events for AT&T, Omidyar Network and Cord Blood Registry. Before joining FleishmanHillard, Kacie co-founded and managed Diversions Marketing, during which she worked closely with clients to implement a digital strategy, including website development, social media management and SEO implementation. Kacie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication and journalism with an emphasis in public relations from California State University, Fresno. She also earned certificates in both event planning and marketing, and earned the 'Outstanding Public Relations Graduate, 2010' award in her graduating class.
