Marshall H. Ginn, CFRE is an accomplished consultant, presenter, trainer and volunteer leader with 30 years of experience working with local, regional and national nonprofits, philanthropic organizations and professional associations. Mr. Ginn is the founder and managing director of Capital Development Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm based in the Washington, DC, area. His clients have included such diverse organizations as the Washington Chapter of the AIA, the Duke University Chronicle, Grace Episcopal Church, the American Foreign Service Association, the Arlington Community Foundation and Wesley Housing Development Corporation. Mr. Ginn is the former Vice Chair for Annual Giving for the national AFP Foundation for Philanthropy. He is a former board member of the Washington, DC Metro Area Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP/DC). He is active with the Association of Philanthropic Counsel – a nationwide network of consulting firms – and serves on their executive committee. Mr. Ginn is also former chair of the Selection Committee for the AIM for Excellence Award (formerly known as The Washington Post Awards for Excellence in Nonprofit Management) a project of the Center for Nonprofit Advancement.
