Brian is an experienced and highly capable innovative leader and CIO who relishes challenges and working closely with Boards and Management teams to deliver to agreed long and short term organizational goals and objectives by identifying key challenges and obstacles and overcoming them to deliver results. On numerous occasions, Brian has been required to prepare and successfully present, seek approval and deliver strategic IT and Business initiatives to Boards, Customers and Clients. Most recently he successfully presented a major Cyber Security Strategy paper to the UGL / CIMIC Board and its external auditors. He has extensive experience in procuring and managing and transitioning outsourced IT environments and managing their interoperability with remaining on premise legacy environments and key internal IT teams. In his most recent role at UGL Brian was initially responsible for several major UGL Board driven transformational projects. The first of these was a global $75 rollout of a single instance JDE system across 53 countries for DTZ ($4b revenue UGL subsidiary) which was a leader in the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) sector. The primary objective of this project was to deliver a single consolidated Global GL and required major business process reengineering, change management and significant structural change to the entire DTZ business including IT. The project was very successful delivered on time and on budget despite significant challenges and obstacles presented by geography, different cultures, language and resistance to change which were overcome by persistent adherence to detailed planning, communication and lots of listening. Brian has worked in several complex multi-site, multi divisional, high change environments and in the process worked and communicated successfully with ‘many concurrent masters’ which requires the full gambit of communication and other skills.
