UCB Pharma, a biopharmaceutical and specialty chemical company, develops therapeutics for central nervous system and immunological diseases.

I oversee the strategic communications for UCB's 800-person immunology business unit, including internal communications and external public relations. I manage pipeline, pre-launch, launch, and in-market communications for our immunological products and services. In my time at UCB, I have overseen numerous successful product launch PR campaigns, including Neupro®, a transdermal patch for Parkinson’s disease and Restless Legs Syndrome, and two epilepsy drugs, Keppra XR® and VIMPAT®. I have also established relationships with key patient and professional third party groups and have led several disease awareness and patient advocacy campaigns. A disease awareness program for women living with Rheumatoid Arthritis received a 2012 Communicator Award in the health and wellness category from the International Academy of the Visual Arts.I have led health-related social media campaigns in Parkinson's disease and epilepsy. From 2010-2011, I chaired UCB’s Social Media Policy Working Group, a global cross-functional team that developed a company-wide social media policy. I was also a member of UCB’s Healthcare Reform Steering Committee, charged with assessing the impact of healthcare reform on UCB business. In 2010, I was the recipient of the UCB President's Choice Award for outstanding performance.I have 15 years of healthcare and pharmaceutical public relations experience. Prior to joining UCB eight years ago, I was an Account Supervisor at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in New York, NY, where I coordinated key public relations and patient advocacy initiatives for the Bristol-Myers Squibb oncology franchise. Prior to joining Ogilvy, I was a Senior Associate at The Corkery Group, a public affairs communications agency, where I worked on multiple public health accounts. I began my career in the Porter Novelli healthcare practice in New York, NY.
