Tecton Corporation employs approximately one hundred people in multi-family residential communities. All residential projects are staffed by trained business managers and we strive to be a technologically advanced company and provide excellent service. Our philosophy is based on the belief that our employees are the company's most important asset. We recognize that the creative ingenuity which contributes to our success comes from our employees. Tecton has a strong commitment to provide the best work environment and the greatest opportunity for personal satisfaction and growth to its team members. Each of our employees participates in an intensive, 3-day, multi-media training seminar. Every Key Manager and several experienced site managers conduct portions of the training. Subjects covered include: leasing, maintaining the community, apartment preparation, processing move-ins and move-outs, on-site accounting, Landlord Tenant and Fair Housing Laws, sound personnel management practices, and financial training for real estate. Training helps ensure that every community we manage follows the same set of procedures and practices. We believe in our employees. We practice "open-book" management with our employees (i.e. we share all financial performance results within each operating unit) and we also teach concepts such as income capitalization. Owners know the significance of: NOI / CapRate = Value. ....so do our employees! Informed employees are naturally better decision makers. Team Tecton employees understand how to take bottom line responsibility. Our employment policies reflect humanism. Consequently, turnover in our company is low and employee morale is high! In an industry where the employee retention average is just over eight months, Tecton employees remain with the corporation an unheard of average of seven years. Employees are encouraged to challenge themselves towards promotion to positions of higher responsibility.
