I am a Partner in the Disputes and Investigations team at Taylor Wessing LLP. I have over 13 years of experience advising clients in complex litigation relating to high-value commercial disputes. I have particular expertise in corporate litigation (boardroom and shareholder disputes), technology disputes, insurance disputes and professional negligence (particularly in respect of the accountancy profession). I also lead our product liability and safety team defending manufacturers and suppliers in litigation concerning products in a variety of sectors including technology, life sciences, consumer and retail, food and drink and automotive. I advise on product safety issues, product compliance (including labelling), regulatory investigations, corrective action and product recalls. I have a broad experience acting for clients in the technology, automotive and consumer & retail sectors with a strong focus on emerging technologies such as the IoTs and driverless cars. I am a member of Women in Telecoms and Technology (WiTT) and Women in Law London (WILL). I am also Co-Chair of DRI International and a member of IADC, SMMT, the Product Liability Forum and the Food Law Group. Cases include: Acting for the Trustee in Bankruptcy of Bernard Madoff’s former company in relation to litigation in the UK and other Commonwealth countries to recover the estimated US$20 billion lost under Madoff’s Ponzi scheme. Acting on a fraud and conspiracy claim valuing over $200m involving the management of cross-border litigation in England, the Netherlands and the BVI. Acting for a world leading provider of IT infrastructure in defending a £60m+ claim brought for alleged defective design/implementation of an IT platform. Advising automotive manufacturer in relation to claims brought against it and others in relation to the supply and assembly of components of engine gearboxes and on product recall obligations.
