Kentec, Inc. began in 1951 as Better Packages, Inc. selling packaging and shipping room supplies. Since then Kentec has grown from a "Mom and Pop"UU operation to become one of the largest specialty tool and fastener houses in the country. Kentec joined the Carlson Systems / Southern Fastening Systems company in June 2015. Duo-Fast Carolinas was established as a family owned business over 60 years ago to supply fasteners and pneumatic tools to the furniture and construction industries in the Carolinas and Virginia. Its headquarters are in Charlotte, NC. They joined the SouthernCarlson Company in October 2015.
