Smarkets is a UK-based betting exchange company founded in 2008 by Americans Jason Trost and Hunter Morris.

Jason is the founder and CEO of London-based Smarkets, one of the world's largest betting exchanges. As a trading platform, Smarkets simplifies peer-to-peer betting on hundreds of markets daily, with a mission to provide the the lowest commission and therefore fairest odds in the world. In a few short years, Jason has engineered Smarkets into one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe that sees more than 100,000 customers trade billions of pounds annually. Prior to co-founding Smarkets, Jason worked in the Global Asset Management division at UBS designing and implementing proprietary software to assist in one of the world’s largest fund of hedge fund trading operations. Jason graduated from Northwestern University and holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
