S&B serves its customers in their international capital investment programs on a project-by-project basis through teaming relationships with key regional contractors in order to combine a local presence with global project execution capability. In 2001 S&B established a global cooperation agreement with JGC Corporation of Japan and in 2000, S&B formed a strategic joint venture with Clough Engineering Limited of Perth, Australia to pursue downstream hydrocarbons and petrochemicals projects in Asia, the Middle East and Australia. Currently, S&B and Clough have established a joint equity company in Saudi Arabia to enable the pursuit of oil, gas and refining projects with Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia. This company is jointly owned by S&B and Clough, along with the local Saudi partner, Al-Bilad Est.
