I am a senior HR leader with extensive experience shaping and implementing HR strategy to support substantial business change and transformation. Working across the bank, with Board and ExCo members, I provide advice and input to large-scale initiatives in complex, highly regulated and multi-jurisdiction settings. My career has given me excellent technical grounding in HR and I have a solid understanding of broader business strategy, functions and drivers. With over 20 years’ experience in Banking and Financial Services, I’ve provided strategic HR partner support and management throughout business growth, merger, run down and closure. I currently sit on the Retail Executive Committee and lead an HR Team of c 200 people including HR Business Partners, HR Consultancy Practice, Learning COE for the Bank and the HR Strategy and Insights team. Recently, much of my focus has been delivery of an aligned people strategy to achieve the Commercial aspiration of delivering for our customers a balance between digital, automated solutions and essential human intervention when it matters. In addition, I have lead on behalf of the bank our move to a Hybrid way of working, this has involved leadership of a cross business, scaled agile team, with regular updates to our Bank Executive committee. I have had the opportunity to talk about our approach on Radio 4, Bloomberg and to The Guardian. significant communications and future capability programmes have been at the forefront of my activities. I act as a sounding board and advisor to Bank Exco members and my role is frequently strategic, diagnostic and analytical, as well as directly operational and hands-on. I’m able to influence and develop relationships that ensure the People function is a real business enabler, adding value and meeting or exceeding high standards and expectations.
