David is a highly skilled and accomplished Vice President in the Real Estate Services and Corporate Security operations field at Peoples United Bank. He began his career at the Bank in 1995 as a member of the Retail Management Training program and later transitioning into the role of managing the Banks Facilities Operations Group and managing a wide range of projects. He significantly expanded his role over the years and developed a wide range of skills and achieved increased levels of responsibilities. He currently has responsibilities for Facilities Management for as many as 400 retail branch and office locations covering approximately 1.7M square feet of space as well as Physical Security management for as many as 650 bank facilities. His primary responsibilities include: Facilities Management, Project Management, Physical Security, Selecting Vendors, Negotiating contracts and managing Vendors, managing leases as Landlord and Tenant, managing capital improvements projects, managing new site design and set-up, managing space planning and managing the food service for 1,200 occupants of a 500K Square foot Headquarters Building in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He manages a typical annual capital budget of $10 million and an annual operating budget of $21 million. David relies heavily on goal setting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) followed by real-time data collection, analysis and tracking. This approach allows for a proactive versus reactive response to risks and opportunities. He streamlines workflows and processes, manages vendor performance, and ensures on-time and on budget job completion. He communicates cross-functionally with all stakeholders and builds consensus and support for shared goals. He was a recipient of the Banks Leadership Award presented by the Company CEO. David partners with Municipal leaders and large property owners in Bridgeport where he serves as a Board Member of the Downtown Special Services District which focuses on improving the Downtown Bridgeport area and supporting economic development initiatives. David has proven his abilities as demonstrated by his extensive work experience over the past 26 years at People’s United Bank. He has been successful in adapting to the constantly changing business environment and is considered a well-respected member of the bank’s management team and the overall community.
