I have over 16 years experience in marketing strategy, communications and product marketing. Have led marketing, product and pre-sales teams over this time and had dotted line management of technical and customer service teams. I have been consulting to businesses of all sizes on how to leverage data driven marketing. Build lead generation, using powerful inbound marketing techniques, leveraging brand and thought leadership to create engagement and tracking the buyers journey to close. More recently I headed marketing for PayPal's business segment. Managed a team of digital savvy marketers to grow and add to the large base of business customers. Prior to this I was at Google for 5 years. Working across a number of industries including, Retail, Telco, Consumer Electronics, Financial Services, Automotive. Being a digital evangelist, this has involved delivering thought leadership, education, market insights and advice to Australia's largest brands on how they can best reach their customers through the digital medium. I have overseen Google's rapid growth in the APAC region, building out the marketing function across new emerging markets. A key part of Google's growth has been the ability to attribute marketing spends to revenue. My belief: Marketers should be able to analyse the key touch points and influences within the prospect and customer life-cycles to identify which marketing channels are having an impact at specific stages of the buyers journey. The end goal, being able to predict marketing’s impact on revenue contribution to an organisation. Something we should all aspire to!
