Let me introduce myself, my name is Caitlin, at least on my birth certificate and email it is. Most people call me Kate, Katie and way more often Dooley or Dools, as the name Caitlin was more popular in 1986 than Top Gun, Whitney Houston and hypercolor t-shirts combined. After graduating from Wisconsin, as a very proud badger, I moved to the heart of Center City Philadelphia and have been working in a large corporate financial institution. Working at Vanguard for the past five years has been a great opportunity teaching me valuable things like adhering to corporate standards, successfully tackling multiple assignments in a timely manner, always putting the client first, and the life of an employee working in an office day to day amongst many other things. While working towards my career goals, I determined that furthering my education in the field that I aspired to work in was one way with which I could become the most prepared and well equipped job candidate. I am through my second year at Villanova working towards my Masters in Communication with a focus in PR & Advertising. This program will help me hone my creative assets while combining them with theoretical and practical knowledge like Qualitative Research, the use of Adobe Creative Suite, as well as tangible skills shown in the creation of a PR portfolio, case studies, and other industry driven assignments. Outside of my work obligations and school responsibilities I am very active in social media. I maintain many social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram among others. I also engage in podcasts and explore other areas of the online space. I keep current in the industry to stay on top of the ever-changing environment as well as enjoying all that the online social space has to offer.
