Nick's career can best be described as service oriented. Nick enjoys people and looks for opportunities through work and his personal life to help people. Currently Nick works for the State of Utah in the Division of Adult and Aging Services as the Legal Services Developer. Nick develops legal education information, performs legal analysis and coordinates with Utah Legal Services in order to ensure that senior citizens and adults with severe disabilities have knowledge of the resources available to them. Prior to his work in DAAS, Nick worked for Orange Legal Technologies where he read and analyzed documents that were subject to discovery in litigation. These documents ranged from personal emails to scientific notebooks. Nick reviewed them for responsiveness, privilege, and redacted them as necessary. Nick worked for Low VA Rates where he assisted U.S. military veterans in obtaining home loans and refinance loans. He assisted loan officers by resolving client concerns and collecting the necessary legal documents to obtain the loans. Nick previously worked for the State of Utah in the Department of Commerce, Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing as a Legal Analyst/Law Clerk.Nick co-authored the new State Construction Registry Rule which regulates lien rights of contractors on private projects. Nick was also instrumental through his legal writing skills in response to think tanks seeking information about the Division. Nick graduated from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. Nick clerked for the Honorable John Baxter at the SLC Justice Court. Nick researched and briefed constitutional issues, new minor-in-possession of alcohol legislation, and created a continuing legal education presentation for Judge Baxter. Nick clerked for Callister, Nebeker & McCullough in Salt Lake City, UT where he researched comments made by various telecommunications companies made to the FCC and helped prepare a reply brief.
