James Malick is the Global Head of Strategy at Millennium Management. In this role, he manages several functions including Corporate Strategy, Project Execution, Trading Services, and Operational Risk Management. Previously, James was a Partner & Managing Director at the Boston Consulting Group. As BCG's global topic leader in sales & trading, he built deep expertise in investment banking and capital markets and worked with leading sell-side and buy-side institutions. James also co-headed BCG's Corporate Banking segment in North America, and in that capacity worked with regional and super-regional commercial banks. He has been quoted frequently in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Euromoney, and numerous other market publications. He has led numerous growth strategies, new market entry projects, coverage model redesigns, post-merger integrations, and pricing strategies. On the cost side, he has led several initiatives to design organizational efficiency & effectiveness, offshoring & outsourcing programs, target operating model design, and optimization of non-comp expenses (e.g., brokerage fees, clearing fees, market data, etc.).Prior to consulting, James gained line experience in fixed income institutional sales at Barclays Capital, FX options at Cantor Fitzgerald and in commodities trading at ABN Amro, as well as loan restructuring / workouts for a principal investment fund.
