Joel is a seasoned executive with over 27 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Joel currently oversees and manages health plan strategy, benefit design, marketing and membership growth for Lumeris clients as well as the company's own Medicare Advantage plan, Essence Healthcare. Prior to his current role, he served as Chief Marketing Officer of the company as well as President of the company’s EHR software division (ClearPractice). Before joining the EGHC family of companies in 2006, he served as Vice President of Marketing for e-MDs and held a variety of marketing and software product management positions at several healthcare technology companies including Trizetto, Nightingale and Mariner Systems.
