EXECUTIVE PROFILE Over 20 years’ experience in higher education technology management. I am responsible for Lone Star College System’s Office of Technology Services and deploy multiple strategies that focus on optimizing IT performance while reducing costs. I work with all aspects of technology and the delivery of these services to Lone Star College System’s six campuses, ten instructional centers, and two university centers. The Lone Star College System (LSCS) is focused on delivering an exceptional education to our students. The number one goal of the institution is student success. The Office of Technology Services (OTS) aligns with this goal by focusing on the application of technology that supports LSCS’s instructional mission. Introducing a private cloud to rapidly meet the student, faculty, and staff needs – from high-availability to new service deployment – OTS leverages “Big Data” in a way that assists the institution in making better informed decisions. With the implementation of an advanced Enterprise Resource Planning system, classroom video integration, and private cloud computing the Office of Technology Services continues to focus on the application of technology to address business problems, add value to the institution, and enhance student success.
