Adam is focussed on family law, real estate law, and business and entrepreneur law, arbitration and mediation. Adam has assisted numerous individuals through difficult and stressful dispute situations, in areas such as divorce, separation, custody, maintenance and matrimonial property. Family law is a significant part of his daily legal practice. As an arbitrator and adjudicator, Adam has significant decision-making and judgment-writing experience as a member of various arbitration tribunals, as a sole arbitrator and as a member of regulatory tribunals with the Law Society of Alberta as an elected Bencher. Adam is a Chartered Arbitrator (CArb) and Chartered Mediator (CMed.) through the ADR Institute of Canada. He has mediated and arbitrated many disputes, including civil, labour, employment and family disputes. Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Calgary, Adam undertook a career in business, technology and publishing, gaining valuable experience in business start-ups and executive management. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English while working as an executive in business, and obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta. He has obtained a Master of Laws (International Dispute Resolution) (with Merit) from UCL (University College London) and Queen Mary University of London. Adam is the former Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Alberta Law Review. Adam is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Dhillon School of Business at the University of Lethbridge teaching business law, employment and labour law, negotiation, and introduction to management courses. Adam was a Bencher (governor) of the Law Society of Alberta. He is a Board member of the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice and a Board member of Volunteer Lethbridge. He has served on the Board of Directors of Legal Aid Alberta. He is the former Chair of Rupertsland Institute and is formerly the Chair of Apeetogosan (Métis) Development Inc.
