As the Principal Cloud Architect for Legal and General Insurance, I am responsible for leading the creation of a cloud platform technology framework and providing technical architecture and design leadership in support of LGIs migration to the cloud (Azure). Additionally, as the principal cloud architect, I ensure that critical cloud applications and services are designed and optimised for reliability, high availability, disaster recovery and cost efficiency. Some Key Responsibilities; •Serve as principal cloud architect by providing technical leadership to other team members for the design, implementation and support of the cloud platform architecture and automation technologies •Act as a Subject Matter Expert to LGI for Azure, automation, and end-to-end architecture for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions •Work closely with other teams to develop and promote cloud-native application architectures (microservices, serverless, containers). •Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective •Design a fully automated workflow for provisioning and maintaining a complex, highly available cloud environment using infrastructure as code •Review product work, including detailed code, from other team members for approval to deploy and provide technical feedback as needed •Other duties as assigned.
