As LCRA's senior director of Strategic Communications, Jill Rutherford and her team provide communications support for LCRA's general manager, executives and board of directors, ensuring all communication materials going to or coming from the general manager and board are clear and support LCRA's strategic business goals and mission. In addition to writing executive speeches and other communication materials, Jill leads the writing, editing and production of LCRA's annual business and capital plans. She was part of the first class chosen for LCRA's Leadership Development Track II program and has completed the Edge Leadership program, which LCRA offers to emerging leaders identified through a selection process. Jill holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. She earned a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction and a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University. She joined LCRA in 2007 in Human Resources, specializing in compensation, and moved to Communications in 2012. She has prior experience in the compensation field with large employers including Whole Foods Market, Dell and Willis Towers Watson, a management consulting firm.
