With 30 years of experience on Laser/Waterjet profiling, Fabrication, Assembly and Powder Coating.
I am currently an Associate level technical consultant at Exponent in Natick, MA in the Polymers Science and Materials Chemistry practice. We provide a range of consulting services across many industries and applications. I have recently received my Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering at Harvard University working in SEAS and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering for Prof. Jennifer Lewis. My graduate work focused on expanding the materials boundaries for 3D printing technology, specifically with respect to polymers, composites, hydrogels, and biomaterials. I have been involved with bioprinting efforts involving the 3D printing of living tissue constructs, as well as "4D" printing of stimuli-responsive, shape-changing hydrogel materials. My prior experience includes microencapsulation, self-healing materials, implantable biomaterials, non-fouling surfaces, and more. I have extensive background in materials science, specifically polymers, composites and biomaterials. I also have experience in educational outreach as the co-leader of an engineering camp for high school girls at UIUC, called GLAM (Girls Learning About Materials).
