Welcome to Landsec - the new home of Land Securities Group. We buy, sell, develop and manage commercial property in the UK.

After graduating with a degree in French and German, I worked for a short time at the German Embassy in London. The formative years of my career were then spent in the Volkswagen Group, followed by a spell working in both the public and private sectors, latterly in professional services. I am now Group HR Director at Computacenter, leading the HR function in one of Europe's most successful IT Services Company. I spent part of my early career living in Europe, working on international projects relating to ERP, particularly in the areas of HR and finance. On returning to the UK, I joined the IT division of VW (gedas UK) and became the Head of IT Operations, responsible for IT strategy and IT delivery in the UK before undertaking an MBA. With this business experience under my belt, I then changed direction and entered the field of Human Resources, holding a variety of senior strategic HR roles in the public and private sectors. I am considered to be a commercially focused, astute individual, bringing creativity, energy and common sense to solving people and organisational challenges. I have special interest & expertise in delivering cultural and organisational change in growth or turnaround situations. I've managed geographically dispersed teams across cultural boundaries in complex, matrix organisations and have working knowledge of employment practices in Continental Europe. I have been a contributor to the profession of HR by speaking at conferences, been an occasional guest lecturer on MBA and MA programmes and am a non executive director of HR's professional institute, the CIPD.
