I have over 13 years of extensive experience in both the private and public sector. My experience with Lawand Group, a multi-faceted Australian organization, allowed me to progress from an administrative assistant to Operations Manager - Middle East over the five years that I worked there. In 2008, I joined the Knowledge and Human Development Authority of Dubai Government. In my current position as Director of University Quality Assurance, I have had the opportunity to contribute towards the development of Higher Education in Dubai and in the international community. I work very closely with the University Quality Assurance International Board and have played an important role in the development of this new framework for Dubai. I am also required to work with existing and potential institutions and am part of several review committees with the organization. I have had the opportunity to attend and participate at several international conferences and seminars on higher education and quality assurance. My skills have been complemented by my education, an MBA, which I completed in 2010. I am currently also engaged in a doctoral programme with a higher education management focus at the University of Bath, UK as a part time student. I am known for my organization skills and complimented for being resourceful. Going the extra mile wherever possible is something I do as second nature. I have excellent computer skills and apart from the standard applications manage troubleshooting well. My other skills include trying to balance efficiency and effectiveness while at every task, this resulting in saving and proper utilization of resources of time of myself and other team members.Specialties: Quality Assurance, Higher Education planning, Project planning and organization, Government Liason, client relationships
