2007 to Present: I joined KDC, a national commercial real estate investment and development firm based in Dallas, for the purpose of entering the firm into the mission critical / data center property sector. While at KDC, I've led the mission critical team that has succesfully developed in excess of 1 million feet of office, technical and powered data center shell space in the high technology industry.1998 to 2007: I formed Atkins Property Company, LLC and developed six commercial industrial projects in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex for a public REIT and private equity group. In addition, I was active in the timber and oil and gas industries in North Louisiana and West Texas.1989 to 1998: I led MEPC American Properties' industrial property expansion with over 30 commercial greenfield ground up projects and acquisitions. Named NAIOP Developer of the Year in North Texas in 1995.1987 to 1998: I joined MEPC American Properties as an office leasing agent responsible for the marketing of The Colonnade, a 1 million square foot office complex, in the north Dallas office market.1986 to 1987: I entered the commercial real estate industry as a mortgage banking loan officer at the Ryan Companies in the Dallas/Ft. Worth market. 1984 to 1986: I began my career in management consulting with Arthur Anderson & Co in Houston, TX working on systems automation installations in the Energy and Banking industries.
