I am a senior technology leader with a combination of extensive hands on experience and the ability to manage both people and projects. I have worked for both large and small financial firms, managing their technology and teams. Tasks have included everything from day to day operational support to designing and implementing extensive new technology platforms and solutions, including Virtualization, Linux conversion, monitoring and BCP/Disaster Recovery solutions. I am looking for a position that will allow me to continue my technical and leadership growth, utilizing my current skill-set. I enjoy exploring new technologies, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses and seeing how they can best be utilized to solve business needs. I enjoy taking ownership in my work environment and working with the business to make things better. While I am currently located in the NYC/CT area, I am open to relocation possibilities, particularly in NC (Research park triangle or Charlotte), or Atlanta, GA. Specialties: Broad experience in Solaris and Linux Systems administration and engineering and managing teams responsible for the same. Systems architecture of Small and medium scale installations. Strong Knowledge of Distaster Recover and BCP technologies including Clustering, SAN and storage technologies. Strong Perl Programming skills.
