Gary Long has over 30 years of accounting experience. He has worked for publicly traded companies as well as privately owned. Much of his career has been either working for retail companies or supporting them with his responsibilities at Ivie. Gary's most recent responsibilities include all accounting functions including acquisitions, divestitures, budgeting, cash flow, financial reporting, financial analysis, sales tax, payroll, banking, bookkeeping as well as operational oversight for printing and international operations. Other responsibilities include human resources, training, insurance procurement, technology and employee benefits. Responsibilities in previous positions included preparation of financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies and procedures. Also, prepare and file all Security and Exchange Commission reports. Participated in the issuance of $100 million of high yield bonds and establishment of a $50 million revolving credit facility, including the necessary filing and other legal work. Assisted with the formation of a captive insurance company for general liability and worker compensation coverage. Served on the Board of Directors of Talon Insurance Company, Inc. Other responsibilities include: weekly sales and profit projections, budgeting, annual plan and three year business plan preparation, maintaining banking relationships, policy and procedure development. The accounting department consisted of an assistant controller, five accounting supervisors and over fifty clerks.
