Paul makes ideas real. He has grown three different solutions from initial concept to sustained success in the market. Each effort required a wide-ranging entrepreneurial mix of product management, channel and consumer marketing, sales and operational expertise combined with passion to immerse himself in whatever domain. At Ariba, Paul harnessed resources from a three-way merger to create the first comprehensive Spend Analytics solution in the market. As the first SaaS solution for Ariba, the Ariba Spend Visibility solution required an entirely new mindset for the organization to develop, price, sell and service. Paul was then tasked with transforming Ariba Buyer from a behind-the-firewall software to Ariba's flagship SaaS, “OnDemand” solution. Ariba was arguably the largest legacy software company to successfully transform to Software-as-a-Service and Paul was key in those early stages of what eventually garnered such a highly valued acquisition by SAP. Expanding his reach with more of a B2C flavor, Paul took over general management of solutions at EZShield. Here, the concept was consumer-focused Identity Theft Protection sold through large partners (a B2B sale). Paul conceived of and lead the development of a platform that works within the partnership approach while addressing consumer needs (placing EZShield above more entrenched competitors according to Javelin Research). Paul followed through by successfully selling to partners in Financial Services, Payment Processing and Personal Financial Management domains. Returning to the Spend Management realm, Paul then took over commercial operations in the Americas for Ivalua, Inc. Leveraging a highly configurable suite on par with Ariba's, Paul leads the delivery of solutions to clients from a variety of industries in North and South America. With Paul's help in the late stages of the enterprise sales process, Ivalua has now arrived in the U.S. market as the strongest and most configurable solution available.
