As President and COO of iTacit – an award-winning employee experience platform – I spend every day redefining how modern companies connect with their workforce. For the employees that use iTacit, this means using their phone or device to connect to the knowledge, skills training and digital toolsets needed to make each workday easier. For the leading companies that adopt iTacit, it’s a method to improve productivity and save hundreds of thousands of dollars in email and subscription costs. I’m a people-person. I genuinely want to understand how employees can be happy, well-skilled and efficient in their jobs. I want to help create work environments, particularly virtual work environments, that engage teams with helpful, flexible and innovative ways of working. I believe that we learn from each other and our companies learn from each other. It is my job as a leader to coach and mentor colleagues to help everyone surpass their goals, both professionally and personally. As a result of that work, I’ve been recognized through EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award and won Start-up Canada’s Global Exporter Award. I’ve been told I have an entrepreneurial spirit – I think it is my will to win and ability to rally those around me to do the same. I find satisfaction in creating value for businesses, increasing profitability and driving performance. That drive is reflected in my results.
