Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. is set up by the Ministry of Railways with the basic purpose of hiving off entire catering and tourism activity of the railways to the new corporation.

Kamal is a Master Degree holder in Tourism, Graduate in Economics & Mathematics, holds Digital Marketing certificate from NIIT , ‘O’ Level from DOEACC and also holds German Language A1 & A2 level certificates from Goethe Instut – Max Muller. Apart from this he has completed certified course from Luxury Ambassador Programme from Luxury Academy London. With more than 16 years of experience in Travel and Tourism , he has now contributed over 10 years in Government Sector while perusing his passion for Tourism. He has worked in major tourism private sector companies namely Cox & Kings , Paradise Holidays etc. He has joined IRCTC in 2010 as Asst Manager and has risen to the rakes to Jt General Manager in a short span. With a wide exposure in International Marketing for Maharajas’ Express & Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train, he has been the face of the organization internationally and in domestic arena. With the expertise in Digital Marketing and B2B Marketing he has managed to generate Luxury business for IRCTC for all these years.
