I am an External Relations professional with +25 years of experience in Business Development, Marketing and Communications. I have worked for private companies, international organizations and education institutions in several locations around the world. I amcurrently the head of IE USA, the North America branch of IE Higher Education, that operates in five locations: NY, Toronto, Los Angeles, Miami and Delaware. I manage a direct team of 25 multicultural professionals in marketing, recruiting, B2B, careers and institutional relations. I have been part of IE, one of the world's leading higher education institutions, for 15 years and I'm proud to say I was instrumental in the internationalization of the organization. I engaged in business travel to more than 100 countries to help IE to become a truly global organization. While in charge of IE's International Development Department for Europe and Central Asia, I opened bureaus in Germany, England, Italy, Russia and CIS, just to name a few. I was also involved in IE's expansion to Asia, Middle East and Africa. Prior, I worked as the External Relations Director for the InterAmerican Development Bank (IADB). At the bank, I launched initiatives to improve the bank's image and worked with public and private stakeholders. I started my professional career as a broadcast and print journalist at the age of 20. I was the youngest reporter in Brazil's largest news paper and worked for media organizations such as The Philadelphia Inquirer, Folha de Sao Paulo and IstoE Dinheiro. At the age of 25, I was chosen to be one of 10 journalists worldwide to be awarded the Alfred Friendly Press Fellowship. The following year, I launched my own communications agency in Brasilia, which I sold 2 years later. I am involved in activities to empower professional women and I have organized events/projects in Russia, Germany, France, UK, Turkey and the US to promote female professional development.
