Homewatch CareGivers was founded in 1980 in Denver, Colorado by Paul Sauer. The company has grown to include over 150 different locations on four continents. The Utah office was opened by Kevin Whatcott in 2006 and provides the same high-quality service that clients throughout the world have come to expect. KEVIN WHATCOTT was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from West High School in 1980 and then served a two-year mission for his church in New England. After attending the University of Utah, he graduated with honors in 1988 with a degree in political science, a minor in economics and a Certificate in Public Administration. He received his law degree from Boston University in 1991. In 1993, he co-founded the law firm of Whatcott, Barrett & Hagen PC, a law firm that specializes in helping poor and disadvantaged clients as they work to regain control of their finances. The firm grew to be the largest consumer bankruptcy practice in the state of Utah. Prior to their deaths in 2009 and 2010, Kevin had taken on a more active role as a caregiver for his mother and father. This new role in their relationship became a regular and rewarding part of his life. During this time he also saw a dramatic increase in elderly clients seeking help from his law firm.

For the last seventeen years I have enjoyed life as an entrepreneur owning and operating five different businesses in the health care and food service industries. These five business were all started from scratch and went on to produce over $35,000,000 in gross revenue. When starting any business from the ground up, you are responsible for every single job function at one point or another from sales and marketing to human resource management and accounting and you remain the back up to every function as well.
