I love to help my team members grow both personally and professionally. Since 1997 I have enjoyed a very fulfilling career in the information technology field. I have worked in legal technology exclusively since 1999. In my career I have supported or managed almost every conceivable aspect of information technology. That experience runs the gamut from simple desktop support to supporting hundreds of servers and from simple desktop upgrades to massive migrations involving hundreds of servers. The environments I have worked in range from single offices with 65 employees to large companies with a global footprint and over 3,500 employees. I have been working as a Regional IT Manager since June of 2010. I manage both the soft and hard technology resources in seven offices. My realm of responsibility encompasses four U.S. offices in the South West, West and one international office. Here are a few recent projects: 1.) Standardize how scan to folder is used in the firm and establish automated retention policies for those folders. 2.) Assisting in a consolidation project to reduce the number of servers utilized by our document management (HP Autonomy WorkSite) system from hundreds to just a few. 3.) Firm wide upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 while at the same time upgrading from Office 2003 to Office 2010. This project is also focused on simplifying our desktops. 4.) Streamlining the internal processes for requesting and coordinating large video conference calls. 5.) Write policies for all office technology professionals to follow regarding data import and export.
