Alison Rosenthal joined Greylock Partners in December, 2011 as an Executive in Residence. She brings with her a wealth of experience in business development, product distribution and partnerships, and managing at scale on both social and mobile platforms. Alison is working with Greylock’s current Consumer Portfolio companies, as well as evaluating new opportunities in the consumer space.Previous to Greylock, Alison spent five years at Facebook, Inc. in the Business Development and Mobile organizations. Alison was most recently the Head of Mobile Business Development and the Global Mobile Operators Program at Facebook. In this capacity she oversaw Facebook’s relationships with some 350+ mobile operators and device manufacturers around the world. During her time in mobile, Facebook Mobile’s active user base grew from 100K to over 250M users. Rosenthal had joined the company in February 2006, making her one of its earliest employees and led teams throughout hyper growth and intense competition.Previously Alison worked at Goldman Sachs in their Global Mergers and Acquisitions group, General Atlantic Partners and Zazzle. A lifelong competitive athlete, she is also a former member of the TIBCO Women’s Professional Cycling Team and has run a sub-three hour marathon.Rosenthal holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Stanford. Alison sits on the Board of AutoNation.
