I’m a creative and business-oriented professional whose management style has kindness at its core. I hold myself to the highest moral standards and lead by example, but that does not make me a pushover. I’m inspired by improving efficiencies and lifting up eager team members through mentoring, leading to a healthy workplace culture and enhanced bottom-line performance. I’m accustomed to working with diverse teams requiring a little ingenuity to help people connect, mutually solve problems, and advance a cohesive, productive, customer-centric culture. My colleagues recognize me for pitching in where I’m needed, from driving forklifts to supporting projects with high-touch design needs. I led our Design team for 3 years before becoming COO, where we accepted nothing short of excellence. Occasionally, this required me to part ways with team members who were strong but not exceptional, but our rigorous commitment allowed us to achieve a leadership position in the marketplace with a reputation for quality. As COO, I’ve had the privilege of working with outstanding coaches, mentors, and colleagues who have helped me evaluate situations from different perspectives, hone my business skills, and take confident, decisive action to drive business growth and profitability. I’ve boosted the company’s reputation as a luxury home staging option while generating a new revenue stream with a do-it-yourself option/brand. I’ve also negotiated leases and streamlined inventory operations. Covid wasn’t easy for us, but we came out stronger than ever by streamlining processes and headcount.
