Texas Business Development Manager

The Garland ISD Education Foundation was established to support the students and staff of the Garland Independent School District, which encompasses the north Texas communities of Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse. The Foundation supports educational excellence by providing funds for enrichment programs not otherwise funded by Garland ISD. Grants awarded to district staff allow them to encourage and motivate students to work at their highest potential; stimulate thought and advance new approaches to teaching; and broaden the learning experience for all students.

Albert Einstein once stated “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” As we now know, knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. Imagination is within us and knowledge is learned through schooling and experience. Those words ring true in today’s world of ever-changing technology, especially in the classroom. Only someone with imagination could have dreamed up an Internet that contains digital maps of the world with three dimensional images of any place, products that can be ordered from anywhere delivered globally, music and books by anyone for all to hear or see, and information from everywhere available to everyone at any time. What is next? Only someone with Imagination will create. In my new role as a Business Development Manager for DISYS Solutions Inc. (DSI), I hope to inspire imagination within our educational leaders by helping to create technical foundations that are ubiquitous allowing any device to be used safely in the classroom. I am now part of the sales and engineering team who will provide products and support to enhance and secure the learning network. The goal will be to help you enhance your existing network and build a safe device agnostic foundation for all teachers and student learning. Always remember, we are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.
