CAD Engineer
Foundry develops computer graphics and visual effects (VFX) software used globally by artists, designers and creative professionals.
I have always had a great passion for programming, I started with simple webpages in my free time during the early years of my high school education and was creating dos-like text based games by the time I entered university. I especially enjoy working on rendering technologies, 3D engines, gameplay systems as I find it satisfying to create features that don't just work functionally but also feel intuitive and comfortable to use for the end-user. In my free time I enjoy mathematics, physics and video games, especially games that require strategic planning and thought. I am skilled at thinking laterally and problem solving, as well as being able to work in a team and with clients in order to tailor my approach to best suit the end goal of any project. I specialise in C++ and OO design - enabling me to write reader-friendly, modular code that fits seamlessly in existing codebases and new developments alike. My current goals include continuing to work with my peers at Sitedesk to bring a product to market and expand it's feature set in order to keep the software relevant and tailored to the needs of our customers while continuing to improve my own personal skills through deeper understanding of other languages and systems.
