Foundation Medicine, Inc. is a molecular information company. The Company sells products that are enabled by its molecular information platform to physicians and biopharmaceutical companies. The Company's segment is the business of delivering molecular information about cancer to its customers. Its products provide genomic information about each patient's individual cancer, enabling physicians to optimize treatments in clinical practice and biopharmaceutical companies to develop targeted oncology therapies. Its flagship clinical molecular information products, FoundationOne for solid tumors, and FoundationOne Heme for blood-based cancers or hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and advanced sarcomas, are genomic profiles designed for use in the routine care of patients with cancer. Its other products include FoundationACT (Assay for Circulating Tumor deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)), GeneKit, FoundationCORE, FoundationICE and the SmartTrials program.

I make learning and development indispensable to achieving our mission to Transform Cancer Care! Over the last 20 years I have been delivering results in Human Resources and Learning & Development in a global Fortune 100 financial services company and presently at a life sciences company that is leading the transformation of cancer care. My approach and perspective has been shaped by experiencing roles embedded in the business and in COE's that have enabled me to engage with employees and leaders from the front-line, to executive, and everything in between. I'm the Senior Director of Learning & Development at Foundation Medicine where I lead a team responsible for prioritizing and delivering the critical learning and development needs most necessary for the company to execute its strategy. I believe that strong leadership is a differentiator and that managers have major daily impact on an employee's experience and engagement. I'm proud to role model authentic leadership and to manage people in ways that enable them to achieve results they never thought possible. Training is the frequently sought-out solution to many challenges, but how often is it the right answer? Learning interventions can be engaging and entertaining. What gaps are they really closing and how do you know they're producing measurable and sustainable results? Engaging learning experiences are table stakes whether delivered digitally, virtually, or in-person. I help leaders generate real results by taking a multi-dimensional, systemic view of challenges, then architect L&D solutions that are fit-for-purpose. My specialties are management and leadership development, new employee onboarding, performance consulting, instructional design, and facilitation. I'm also know for establishing deep, trusting relationships with external vendors to deliver best-in-class learning solutions that greatly expand the capacity of a small internal L&D team. I'm a three-time Brandon Hall Winner (2X Best Advance in Gaming and Simulation Technology, Best New Hire Orientation); completed a Masters Degree program in Organizational Leadership; and graduate of the Chief Learning Officer Accelerator program. I'm a member of the premier community for learning and talent professionals in the New England area, Human Resources Leadership Forum (HRLF); a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM); and also member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
