Digital business is everyone's business. I started my career 13 years ago working in ad sales. After a couple of years, I knew I wanted to be a part of a bigger picture; there was an opportunity to go beyond the 'catch the monkey' web leaderboard ads. I was fortunate to join some of the web's great movers and shakers and help build out their web properties. During this time, I learned backend architecture, CMS implementation, HTML coding, etc.. At the time, you had to do if you were working on the business side of the web. Just the nature of the beast. I've spent the majority of my career in positions of restructuring; from building out the business side of the web from scratch (teams, revenue, vendors) to transitioning print brands and publishers to be digital first and leading the charge.
