The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco delivers low-cost funding and other services that help member financial institutions make home mortgage loans to people of all income levels and provide credit that supports neighborhoods and communities. The Bank also funds community investment programs that help members create affordable housing and promote community economic development. The Bank's members are headquartered in Arizona, California, and Nevada and include commercial banks, credit unions, industrial loan companies, savings institutions, insurance companies, and community development financial institutions. Raza Development Fund (RDF) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation and a registered Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) under the United States Department of the Treasury. Established in 1999 as a 509 (a) 3 support corporation, RDF provides National Council of La Raza affiliates and other Latino-serving organizations access to capital. RDF is the largest Latino CDFI, with more than $160 million in total assets under management. Since inception, RDF has provided capital to Latino serving organizations nationwide. These organizations have received technical assistance and loans in excess of $250 million, which have helped leverage nearly $1.5 billion in private capital for education, childcare, affordable housing and healthcare projects serving low-income families and individuals.
